Linguine with Red Clam Sauce

This is another holiday favorite in our family and always made its way onto the table for Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. The rich tomato sauce mixed with fresh clams, garlic, Italian parsley, and pasta filled the whole house with the best smell. There was always bread on the table, someone sneaking clams from the pan, and everybody waiting for that giant bowl of linguine to hit the table.
Both my parents made this growing up, and it became one of those dishes everyone hoped there would be leftovers of the next day.
Simple, hearty, and full of family tradition.
