Linguine with White Clam Sauce
This is the dish that means holidays in our family. Every Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, there was always a huge bowl of linguine with white clam sauce sitting in the middle of the table, with everyone reaching for seconds before the first plate was even finished.
Both my parents made this growing up, and somehow the smell alone could bring everybody into the kitchen. Fresh garlic sizzling in olive oil, clams opening in the pan, Italian parsley everywhere, and bread ready for dipping into every last drop of sauce. Our friends loved it just as much as we did.
Simple, comforting, and made for sharing.
